Facilitators:
Julia Shen
Julia is a certified Nonviolent Communication (NVC) trainer with a passion for fostering authentic and compassionate connections. Since 2019, Julia has facilitated over 130 NVC-based presentations and workshops, impacting over 3,000 participants. Her expertise spans various platforms, including in-person and online workshops, one-to-one coaching, her blog www.SpaceForHeart.com, YouTube channel "Space For Heart", WeChat group "A Language of Life", and volunteering for NGOs.
Julia's vision is to create a world where the well-being of all individuals is recognized as interconnected. She believes that our survival as a species depends on our ability to nurture the essential needs we all share, such as safety, freedom, understanding, and belonging. By continuing to live in the NVC consciousness and sharing her knowledge, Julia takes steps toward realizing this vision every day.
Andy Dillon
Based in the Lower Hudson Valley in New York State, Andy Dillon has been actively studying and sharing NVC since 2010. Andy is a certified trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC). His vision in sharing NVC is to contribute to the widespread adoption of NVC practices in supporting communities in conflict, with collaborative decision-making processes, and assisting clients with personal transformation.
Currently, Andy is embarking on his second year of a Master of Social Work program, focusing on group processes and social advocacy. His studies provide a solid foundation for addressing systemic issues and working towards social justice. Andy sees immense potential in blending transformative social work models with the principles of NVC. He is eager to explore the synergies between the two fields and uncover innovative approaches to foster healing, understanding, and empathy within communities.
